Someone on the Wishing Tree wanted the original Pookleted in V3 textures, and as I had the male version done, I decided to go ahead and fulfill the wish for the female as well. Then, just as I was about to upload, I saw the requesting party found another version somewhere else. So I'll post it here, I guess.

This is an older hair, and I noticed a couple of minor mapping and mesh fails, but nothing too terribly glaring. (It was pointed out that this had already been done elsewhere, but the requesting party said all the links were dead and it was essentially unavailable.)

Another Peggy number I'm not sure of. The original is the Special Gift for Sept 2010. I freaking love this hair. I don't care that it's poofy and unrealistic even for most women (you'd have to have at least waist length hair for that size bun) I absolutely love it. It makes me want to dress up one of my guys as a governess.

Request: Cazy Rainy Drops Female to Male

I think that Rainy Drops is the mesh name; not sure of the number. It says 20, but then so does a different one I downloaded. Be aware that in Body Shop the mesh appears to have a dark discoloration at the scalp. I honestly have no idea why. I double checked the mapping and the scalp area is on a black part of the mesh, so it should be totally invisible. In game it's fine, as you can see:

Request: Newsea Aphrodite Female to Male

A couple of notes: on the adult a line can appear on the right side of the neck when the head is at a certain angle. This is not a gap; in gender conversions I always replace the scalp from one of Dr. Pixel's bases and make sure the bones are assigned properly. I suspect funky mapping. The child version has a slight gap on either side of the forehead; this was on the original. I don't generally touch the CU or PU mesh since I assume they were done properly to begin with, but in this case tried to minimize without too much texture crunching.

Request: Rose 57 FtM

There are a couple things about this hair: one, you almost got just the one recolor and the mesh. Multiple alphas, three different texture files, repasting for the ribbon, erg. Thanks, Rose. Second, there's a very fine line under the bangs, most noticeable with the darker hairs. I can't tell if it's a mapping thing, or the skull not sitting properly, but I can't resolve it. I only noticed it in CaF, and possibly only because my settings have the face in extreme closeup.

Peggy donate 42 Female to Male and Female retexture

Let me say right off the bat that I know Hat has probably already done a retexture of both the female and the existing FtM conversion. However, I wanted to have all ages for the male, so had to convert it again. Having done that, I'd have to slap on new textures anyway, and rather than download, sort, import, etc, Hat's work, it was probably easier to just do it myself. The mesh is from 2007, so the mapping isn't the greatest, but I still love and use the hell out of this hair, both male and female. So.

Rose Taobao 3 hair

I've been digging through my old rejects folder, the stuff that I'd downloaded then deleted (for whatever reason) and found the old Rose taobao stuff. I always liked the hairs, but they were only black, and I was on a Mac and couldn't bin, so I never used them. (It's kind of like the missing ages thing; I can't stand not to have at least one of each family.) So, recolors.

And, just FYI, I did do the male conversion, but Rose did something funky with this mesh; she merged hair parts onto the scalp and sort of force fitted it to the female head. It works great for them; no gaps or issues. But when adjusting for male heads, I was forced to add a scalp section back in and there's weirdness at the neck hairline and assorted other issues. It looks great in body shop, but rather terrible in game play, so it goes in the dud pile pile for now.

This is another one where I was dubious about how the conversion would turn out, but ended up really glad I gave it a shot. I de-poofed the hair a bit and lowered the brow. Pooklet's V2 textures this time, since they seemed to suit the hair best.

As should be obvious, I pick my models (this one looks so sad, poor guy) by clicking the random dice. That's not the important thing. The important thing is that I have the Zelda elf template as my default heart replacement and ELF EARS. Guys, this hair is perfect for elf ears, if that little tuft gets alpha'd out.

I am so excited, you have no idea how close you came to getting all the preview pics with this model.

Request:: Cazy 2 FtM

I personally am vexed when ages are left out or removed from hair meshes. I figure that if I want it gone, I'll get rid of it myself, and it irks me when I have a kid born in game that is bald unless I manually assign a different hair. So I tried to do an age conversion on this one, but failed. This is something I plan to revisit, so I'll update if I can ever figure out where I went wrong. Meanwhile, on to the hair.
